Sadali receives an acceptance to pursue art at the Yogyakarta University. Before leaving his hometown Bukittinggi, he is matched with Arnaza, a beautiful woman from his village whom he already knows. They share special moments before his departure. In Yogyakarta, Sadali meets Mera, who runs an art gallery. Over time, Sadali realises Mera is his dream woman, despite discovering she`s much older, has a daughter, and is finalising a divorce. Meanwhile in Bukittinggi, Arnaza remains loyal, waiting for Sadali`s return to continue their match before marriage, sending him letters regularly. Sadali now faces the difficult choice between honouring his match with Arnaza and pursuing his feelings for Mera.
